About 2,000 people showed up on a workday morning, many of them non-Christians, including atheists, Buddhists, and a fair number of Jews, including non-Orthodox Jews and Orthodox Jews wearing yarmulkes. It was probably the first time in history that Jews have banded to protect the Christian cross. It is an achievement of which the ACLU should be proud.

The Brit has changed, the Torah has not. Torah has abiding relevance and authority. In Matthew 5:17-18 Yeshua says, "Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill. For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished." In these statements Law means teaching and is synonymous with all the Word of God.

Israel: The Last Rogue State
Thus, I believe that the Bible predicts that Israel will be the last bastion of individual liberty and national freedom in the world - even though a majority of her political leaders attempt accommodation with Antichrist and the international community of nations. The tension between those Israelis possessing a more or less biblical vision and those who embrace and practice a global realpolitic is easily observable in both the history of the State of Israel as well as in her present political environment.
