The Law Is a Professor (schoolmaster)

Pastor Shelly Volk talks about the Law and how it helps us understand and appreciate God's grace. In Galatians 3:24 the Apostle Paul writes, "Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith."
The law is righteous, it is God's way of helping us understand the way to live with people, and worship God. Living morally, honestly, with integrity takes an understanding of what is expected by God. His instructions is His Word, it is the Torah, and when Jesus become flesh, He was representing all of this here on earth. Jesus was the law, He lived out the law, He was God's instructions to us, and then He fulfilled the law requirements when He died upon the cross. One of the misconceptions in the Church today is that there are two parts of the Bible, an Old and New Testament. This was established by early Church Fathers who wanted to make sure there was a distinction between the God of the Old Testament and the God of the New Testament. However, God is the same God in both Testaments, and He doesn't change, so the Bible is only one book, not two. The Bible is a book of telling Gods story through the Jewish people. This kind of concept is foreign to many Christian believers today, but it is the correct way of looking at the Bible.
Pastor Shelly Volk talks about the law and it's benefit to us as believers in Christ.
