The Advantages of Knowing the Hebraic Roots

Pastor Jay Christianson talks about the advantages of a pastor teaching the congregation about the Hebraic Roots of the faith. George Barna has reported that most Evangelicals do not have a Biblical worldview. That world view is based upon the basic teachings of the Bible, such as sin,who is the Devil, Heaven and Hell, virgin birth, and today all of these basic Biblical teachings are coming under attack. Of course we have been told in scripture that one of the major assaults against believers and non-belivers alike will be deception. The basic strategy of Satan is to confuse, blurr, and re-define what we know to be true. So it shouldn't be a surprise to us if we see these things creep into the church, and if we do not prepare ourselves with sound Biblical teaching, we too will be swept away by ideas that are not Christ honoring. Satan knows that his time is short, and his anger toward the cross and those who preach it, is intensifying each day. How do you stand in such a dececptive day? The Hebraic Root is the foundation of everything in the New Testament, and without a good foundation beneath your theology of the New Testament, you will be vulnerable to believing something that is not true. We have people believing we are living in the Millenium now, and how can that be, since Jesus has not returned as some of the Old Testament prophets have predicted? This is another reason why Good News for Israel is hosting a Hebraic Root Conference this fall in Bloomington Minnesota, Octobrer 13-15, 2011. Please see GNFI.org for more details.
