All Covenants Made By God With Israel Were Done By Blood

• Thom Berkowitz talks about the ratification of God's covenants with Israel where he explains that all covenants were ratified with blood. Ever since the fall of mankind with Adam and Eve, there was a blood requirement for the offering of sin. The Hebrew scriptures, (Old Testament) gave us a picture of the Temple sacrifices that were made with the blood of animals as a foreshadowing of the one true offering of God's Son on the cross.  The New Covenant of Jeremiah 31:31-34 tells us that God is going to give a new covenant, where He will write the laws of God on our hearts, and it will be a unique covenant, and we in the Church know this covenant to be death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

  “Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house ofIsrael and the house of Judah,  32not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the LORD.  33But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts.
