About Islam
ISLAM means "Submission" (Surah At-Taubah 9:29):
"Fight against those who believe not in Allah, nor in the Last Day, nor forbid that which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad) and those who acknowledge not the religion of truth (Islam) among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued." |

Please note: God works with, judges, loves and seeks to redeem individual persons in spite of the specific nature of his or her sin and unbelief, including Muslims. Comments and statements about any religious faith do not apply to every follower of that religion. |

A summary of the relationships between Abraham's sons. |
Posted 02/01/2002. The answer to this question reveals the heart of our faith. We've also been reminded that Islam, along with Judaism and Christianity, is one of the three monotheistic faiths. Some take that fact and assume that all three faiths are just one great religion, or three equally valid pathways to the same God.
But at this historical moment, when Islam is in our consciousness as never before, we need to look at that claim more closely, especially in regard to Islam. One of the better ways to get at an answer is to focus the question like this: Is the Father of Jesus the God of Muhammad? And what difference does the answer make?
[This is one of the best summary articles I have found. It covers Christian and Muslim issues of faith as well as balanced guidance on interfaith relationships between Christians and Muslims. It also has a good list of additional links at the end of the article. -cjp] |

© 2002 WorldNetDaily.com There is an old Arab saying: "My brother and I against our cousin, but my cousin and I against a stranger." That reveals a great deal about Arab culture. There are multiple layers and degrees of loyalties isolating Arabs from the outside world. What matters is blood relationships, ancestry, tribalism and nationalism. To Arab-Muslims, the rules on the inside differ from those on the outside, and what they tell themselves in private differs from what they tell the rest of the world. To them, this is not lying; it is simply the other face presented to the non-Muslim world. |

The prominent Muslim cleric arrested last week on charges of lying about his ties to terrorist organizations has built a reputation as one of Cleveland's most respected religious leaders. But authorities allege that Fawaz Damra, imam of Ohio's largest mosque, did not mention his connection to "terrorist organizations that advocated the persecution of Jews and others by means of violent terrorist attacks" when he applied for U.S. citizenship in the early 1990s. |

Frontpage Interview guest is Prof. Khaleel Mohammed, Assistant Professor at the Department of Religious Studies at San Diego State University.
The Qur'an in Chapter 5: 20-21 states quite clearly: Moses said to his people: O my people! Remember the bounty of God upon you when He bestowed prophets upon you , and made you kings and gave you that which had not been given to anyone before you amongst the nations. O my people! Enter the Holy Land which God has written for you, and do not turn tail, otherwise you will be losers."
The Quran goes on to say why the Israelites were not allowed to enter the land for forty years...but the thrust of my analysis is where Moses says that the Holy Land is that which God has "written" for the Israelites. In both Jewish and Islamic understandings of the term "written", there is the meaning of finality, decisiveness and immutability. |

Attacks against expatriates working in the Saudi Arabian oil patch have accelerated in tempo and intensity during the past several months. If this trend is not reversed -- which is not likely -- Riyadh will slowly fall from its current position as the kingpin of global energy markets. Oil prices will be both higher and more volatile, Saudi social stability far less guaranteed and OPEC less a force to be reckoned with. |
© 2004 WorldNetDaily.com An intriguing theory now permeating oil company research staffs suggests that crude oil may actually be a natural inorganic product, not a stepchild of unfathomable time and organic degradation. The theory suggests there may be huge, yet-to-be-discovered reserves of oil at depths that dwarf current world estimates. |

What does the Koran say about the Jewish people living in their promised land?
SURAH 5:20-21 from the KORAN "And when Musa (Moses), said to his people (Israel): O my people! Remember the favor of Allah upon you when he raised prophets among you, and made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any other among the nations. O my people! enter the holy land which Allah has prescribed for you, and turn not on your backs, for then you will turn back losers."
[The problem is that this verse from the Koran is swamped by the many others in it that rail against Jews and Christians. While the promises of the Land of Israel to the descendants of Jacob rest on the Bible empowered by resurrection of Yeshua/Jesus as the future King of Israel, this quote from the Koran should definitely inspire honest Moslems to question the prevailing Islamic view that the Jewish State of Israel occupies "Arab" land. -cjp] |
